Who We Are
ABOUT United In Britain | No! Cymru
United In Britain | No! Cymru is a registered not for profit organisation and is not affiliated with any campaign group or political party. It has been launched through sheer determination, sacrifice, and belief. United In Britain | No! Cymru was launched in August 2021 by three of its Welsh founders. Our continued existence will be determined by donations from fellow supporters, who share our desire for Wales to thrive as a proud nation within our United Kingdom.
Creating the organisation using our monies has been a huge challenge and being prepared for the ‘vitriol’ from the Welsh nationalist separatists. We knew that starting the organisation from scratch would not be easy but that it would rest on our shoulders to turn our beliefs into reality, to do what we know is right. The thing that is so crucially important to us is our fundamental belief in Wales and our shared future within the United Kingdom. This is simply far too important to sit back and ignore.
We believe absolutely in the solidarity and unity of the British people, who have always stood ‘shoulder to shoulder together in an unstable world. We are better together as one United Kingdom, supporting each other as we have always done throughout our shared history, facing up to our challenges together both in wartime and in peacetime.
It is fundamentally important to fully expose the narrow, insular, simplistic, and divisive nature of Welsh Nationalism, its often troubled and sometimes violent history, and their publicly stated desire to destroy the territorial integrity of the United Kingdom.
Their constant sniping at everything they regard as ‘too British’ is to sow as much division and discontent as possible to benefit their cause. Their slogans such as ‘Westminster isn’t working’ really refer to their loathing of England & the English. Their sole agenda is to gently chip away at ‘British Identity’ to destroy ‘The British State’. This is no secret; it has been their publicly stated aim. It is not propaganda by us ‘unionists’ It is what they believe in!
They regard ‘unionists’ in Wales with a real sense of disdain. They use language like ‘Wales is oppressed’ and talk of Wales being ‘better off’ as an independent Nation, despite the Barnet formula, which benefits the people of Wales. The truth is they do not care about the prosperity of Wales, only their obsession with destroying the ‘Union of the United Kingdom’ and they will deal with the consequences after.
They keep demanding more powers for Wales, as they want nothing to do with the rest of Britain. Many Nationalists despise everything about Britain, its people, history, and heritage. They would rather live in a ‘poorer Wales’ as long as they can create a ‘hard border’ between Wales and the rest of the United Kingdom.
